Accessorizing is a fundamental and steadfast rule when it comes to putting together the perfect outfit. Whether it’s an elegant bracelet/necklace for intimate gatherings or big hoops and bangles for a night out on the town, we can’t help but be anything less than extra!
I want to cast a light on an online eclectic accessory boutique called Arlo and Joy. The company is run by mother/daughter duo, Patty and Heather Arlen, who have over 17 years of retail experience in buying, managing, and styling (and it shows, look how stylish they are!)
As they have a close relationship, but live so far apart, the two had the idea to create something shared between a mother and a daughter, that doesn’t change or go out of style. With Heather’s retail and management experience, complemented by Patty’s buying background, the two were unstoppable. Sitting in a café in California, the two finalized their business model. Patty and Heather had a little champagne, made a toast, and said “let’s go.”
Patty and Heather are dedicated to their customers, providing not only the best shopping experience but also the trendiest items on the market. Products on their website include jewelry, accessories, bags, and more!
As a growing industry, Patty and Heather are constantly attending fashion expos, looking for items they know their customers will adore (I know I do).
Their goal within the next few years is to be featured as a brand on the e-commerce website Revolve. This type of exposure would open many doors for Patty and Heather, as the fashion industry is moving toward having a larger online presence.
