Super Bowl Sunday is just around the corner, and if you’re not the greatest with sports but still want to be apart of celebrating this unofficial national holiday, here are a few tips!

First, it’s important to know what teams are playing. The New England Patriots are playing against the Los Angeles Rams. If you’re from the New England area, then it’s okay to root for the Patriots. If not, you’ll fit in best at whatever party you attend by rooting against the Patriots.

If you are clueless about football, don’t stress! There are so many rules that it’s not even worth trying to cram all of them into your head just for one game. Just know that a touchdown is worth six points. If the scoring team kicks it afterwards, it’s an extra point. If they take a kick from anywhere else on on the field, it’s worth three points. If anything else happens and you don’t understand a call on the field, just react the same way as the rest of the crowd does. Don’t worry, most people will be paying attention to the game and not to the amount of football knowledge you have!

If football doesn’t intrigue you, just watch the game for the halftime show and commercials, and enjoy the good food and good company. Happy Watching!
