5 Apps / Websites to check to launch your career

From the moment we walked into our first set of classes to our last set of classes, we’re constantly told we need to network. Networking is essential for a variety of reasons. It can bring a variety of opportunities throughout your college career. However, there’s more than just networking that you should consider before you launch into your first career after college. Here’s 5 apps & websites that you should check out.

GoodWall

GoodWall is an app for both high school and college students. For high school students, it allows them to get in contact with college recruiters and to find scholarship opportunities. For college students, it allows them to connect with grad schools, job opportunities, scholarships, and more. GoodWall also allows you to connect with other students. You’re able to congratulate each other when you land your big job. GoodWall also updates you on any articles and potential opportunities that they believe is perfect for you.

GenFKD

GenFKD is a website that was founded in 2013. Their mission is to bring peer-to-peer education online. Their website is dedicated to informing millennials about everything from economic policies to workplace etiquette. GenFKD is a great website because it will help you out along the way when you get out in the working world.

WayUp

WayUp is an app that is similar to GoodWall. Unlike GoodWall, WayUp is only for college students and recent grads. It allows them to find paid internships, part-time jobs and entry-level opportunities at startup companies and fortune 500 companies. They also provide a ton of resources like tips on interviewing and resumes.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is so stressed in college. You can connect with a variety of people on LinkedIn. It also allows you to look at potential job opportunities in your desired field and state. One tip, don’t use a selfie as a LinkedIn profile picture. Simply take an HD photo on your phone and use that as your headshot for your picture.

The Balance

The balance is a website that makes your money personal. They help you with every financial aspect of your life. They give how-to guides and give you advice from experts on everything from paying those loans back to buying your first plac
