15 Images That Capture How It Feels To Be In Love

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Xavier chapter.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and you and your significant other are probably planning on doing something special. But you don’t have to do anything extravagant like a fancy dinner downtown. You don’t have to do something expensive or give an expensive gift to your S/O to show how much you love them. Here are 15 images that show how it feels to be in love, without the expensive gifts and dinners. The credit of pictures goes to the artist.

1. Gestures like making sure your significant other is warm and snug when it’s time for bed.

Covering them with a blanket when they fall asleep on the bed or couch will help keep them warm. Plus, if they wake up in the middle of the night, it’s a nice surprise for them.

2. Or making memories by being artsy together.

Painting canvases or pottery are artsy things to do together. They’re fun and messy!

3. Rocking out to music as you unapologetically go for that high note.

I feel this happens a lot in the car. But that’s what makes long car rides more entertaining.

4. Giving/Receiving sweet hugs that make your heart flutter every single time.

Hugs from behind are definitely the best in my opinion.

5. Napping on the couch together is one of the greatest things ever.

Napping on the bed is also a great feeling.

6. Hopelessly remaining on each other’s minds when you’re not in the same place.

It’s sweet to think about them while also thinking about the fact they may be thinking of you as well.

7. Never a bad time for a nice cuddle.

Cuddling during movies is one of my S/O and mine’s favorite things to do. We also really like cuddling during bedtime.

8. A sweet kiss on the forehead speaks volumes.

Forehead kisses are by far my favorite type of kiss. There’s just something about that them that makes them so sweet.

9. Finding sweet ways to surprise one another.

My S/O and I like leaving little post-it notes for each other around each other’s apartments.

10. Few things are sweeter than dancing like nobody’s watching (music is optional).

We don’t dance often, but when we do it’s usually in his living room.

11. Have a fun and messy bonding experience by giving your pet a bath.

Giving his cat a bath was definitely an experience for both of us.

12. Tying your shoe for you? Now that’s what I call love.

Neither of us has done this for each other, but it’s a nice gesture.

13. Sharing is caring, particularly with the one you love.

My S/O loves sharing his food with me, especially when we’re trying out a new place to eat at. He also loves sharing is snacks when we watch movies.

14. Sharing a home-cooked meal made with love.

Home-cooked meals are far better than eating out. Cooking together is also a fun and messy experience to share. Or you could surprise your S/O with a home-cooked meal when they come home.

15. And most importantly, being there for each other through times of happiness and times of sorrow.

I know my S/O will always be there for me, and he knows I’ll always be there for him, not only through happy and sad times but also through the tough times.
