Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Got Engaged On Valentine’s Day & My Heart Is Literally Melting

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are officially engaged! The two shared the news via Instagram on Friday morning with a teary-eyed selfie featuring the singer’s engagement ring—an epic, flower-shaped piece with a pink stone on a gold band—and a stream of heart-shaped balloons.

Perry captioned the sweet photo as “full bloom,” while her now-fiancé captioned it as “lifetimes.”

Bloom proposed on Valentine’s Day, according to a now-deleted Facebook post Perry’s mother shared, People reports. “Look who got engaged on Valentines Day!!” the mom reportedly captioned the engagement photos, which included an amazing close-up of her daughter’s ring.

The on-again, off-again couple first sparked romance rumors in January 2016, when they were spotted together at a Golden Globes afterparty. The couple reportedly broke up in February of 2017. Their reps issued a joint statement to People, saying that: “Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

In early 2018, rumors that the couple reunited began, when a fan posted a photo of them together in the Maldives. The two later traveled to Prague in March and Rome in April, according to People. Fans also noticed the couple’s flirty comments on Instagram. In May of 2018, Perry confirmed that she wasn’t single anymore in an episode of American Idol, Cosmopolitan reports. But it wasn’t until September 2018 that the couple made their red carpet debut at a gala in Monte Carlo, Harpers Bazaar reports.

Congrats Perry & Bloom! My heart is literally bursting with happiness that you two have finally sealed the deal.
