1. Visit friends and family (or don’t).

I really value my friends, family, and the time I have with them but sometimes I just need some time to myself.

2. Take a nice warm bath or shower.

Follow your heart! Some people prefer showers while others prefer a bath to help them relax. Bath bombs, shower scrubbers, essential oils, and more can all make your aquatic relaxation more enjoyable.

3. Watch a new movie or binge watch a TV show.

Netflix is always adding new content to stream so if you’re looking to just ‘veg out’ for a bit over reading week it’s the perfect place to go. There’s truly something for everyone from true crime documentaries to timeless throwbacks.

4. Sleep in.

You’ve earned it. After staying up late studying for midterms, preparing for job or grad school interviews, etc., you’ve earned a solid 8 (or 18) hours of sleep.

5. Eat your heart out.

Have that extra slice of pizza or chocolate cake, go out for sushi with friends, live your best life.

Reading week is meant to be a break to both catch up on school and take care of yourself. You won’t do your best academically or professionally if you aren’t mentally at your best so take the time that you need to recuperate and destress.
