We all worry about our faces being shiny while wearing makeup, both on and off campus. Here are five easy products that fight that midday shine!
This lightweight powder comes in a variety of shades, from translucent to dark brown. Regardless of your skin tone, this product is sure to keep your face looking fresh. For only $5.97 on Amazon, it’ll save your life at least once. Apply it with a fluffy brush, or the included face pouf, while you read the reviews online because we know you already ran to Walmart to pick it up.
2. E.L.F “Makeup Mist and Set” Spray
This setting spray is an absolute godsend, and I find myself reaching for it more than my other, more expensive setting sprays. Just a few sprays after your makeup is finished, and you’re set all day. It also is small enough to slip into purses and backpacks in case you need an emergency touch up between classes.
Blotting papers are my #1 go-to product for keeping the shine away. Especially with it getting warmer out, these are perfect for throwing in your purse, gym bag, or backpack. Most are made of rice paper and absorb oil effortlessly without ruining your makeup!
Some foundations are oil-based or contain unnecessary oils. Opt for an oil-free foundation, like this one and kiss that unwanted glaze behind.
5.Primer a.k.a. – Your New Best Friend
Weird flex, but great skin starts a great primer. Without a stable foundation, even the most expensive houses will crumble. The same goes for your makeup. Without a decent primer, your face is bound to look like you took a dip in Wall pond, even if you’re sauntering across Prince Lawn. This primer from Hard Candy is my absolute favorite and applies like a dream!
