Hypermasculity is OFFICIALLY Dead According to These Men’s Streetwear Looks from Fashion Month

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

BRB, it’s that time of the year again where I sit at my laptop with serious FOMO and swoon over all of the latest streetwear looks top fashion sites are providing us with (because we all know the real trendsetters are found attending the shows instead of on the runway).  My ultimate favorite? The men’s streetwear. Honestly, there’s nothing greater than watching men strut their stuff on the streets of New York, London, and Paris making a statement and beating toxic hypermasculinity with their neons, furs, heels, and so much more.  SO I decided to break it down and grace you with my top 10 men’s streetwear looks from this season’s set of shows in no particular order (because let’s be real who can choose):

Head to toe neutrals has to be the one trend that has had my heart since it graced the runways at the SS19 shows.  This mans takes it to the next level by playing with texture and topping it all off with the perfect white beret.

I LOVE the mix of colors in this shirt and how the femininity of it is played down with the chunky dad sneakers.  This was definitely another win.

I can’t tell what I love more, the fact that my go- to outfit is also a black turtleneck with layered necklaces or the fact that he’s rocking a Dior saddle bag.

I chose this look mainly because I NEED to feel the texture of those pants (and also need to know where to find that shirt ASAP).

The bright blue mixed with the muted blue is just enough breakup to make this monochromatic look really pop.

Speaking of monochromatic looks, this bright yellow suit just had to make it to the list.  Also, very smartly paired with purple because this is why we were taught complementary colors in elementary school.

Even though it’s still cold out, guys were not shy to bust out the bright colors.  This outfit has a lot going on in prints, patterns, and colors, but it all works so nicely.

This outfit, although muted and a bit boring, won me over with the socks and heels!

This color scheme has me feeling some type of way, and is also reminding me that I now need a mint fur coat to add to my wardrobe.

Similar color scheme, but more bright. The mixing prints really make it stand out!
