10 Beyoncé Lessons Every Girl Should Know

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgia Southern chapter.

As we all know Beyoncé is one of the fiercest entertainers in the game. Whether it’s “Crazy in Love” Beyoncé or the “Sorry” Beyoncé we all can relate and learn.

  1. Girl Power! – As we all know Beyoncé loves to embrace woman hood and girl power. We all deserve to have this side of us embraced. Too often in this society women are over looked and over sexualized. Beyoncé takes this image and flips it so that we can love it, embrace it, and tell any man that girls run the world
  2.  Self-Love – Beyoncé has told us that if no man will love you then you must love yourself. Nobody can love you more than you love yourself.
  3.  Go Out! Have Fun! PARTY! – We all have a wild side and it is okay to let it unleash from time to time. We all need a break from the reality and stress of everyday life so why not go out with you girls and party until the sun comes up.
  4. Love – Love drives every girl crazy and Beyoncé allows us to embrace that craziness while still being fierce.
  5. What Goes Around Comes Around – Beyoncé says don’t cry over spilled milk let alone that boy who broke your heart and took advantage of you because he will get his sooner or later.
  6. Life Goes On – No matter what went down in the past. Life gets better, you grow older, and become wiser. Damn near schoolin’ life by 30.
  7. Don’t Take Any Sh*t – If a man isn’t treating you right let him know don’t just sit there and take it or you can always get like Beyoncé and smash some car windows
  8. Apologize for Knowing Your Worth – if he does you wrong keep it moving and do not apologize for leaving his sorry a** behind.
  9. Behind Every Great Man There is an Even Greater Women – Support your man and make a better man in all his endeavors.
  10. There Are Plenty of Fish in the Sea – If he doesn’t’t know how to act and how to treat you then kick him to the curb and let him know that he is replaceable.

I am an Atlanta native and I am very social once you get to know me. I am an Early-Childhood Education major at Georgia Southern University with a concentration in teaching grades 3-5 with intent of impacting their lives in the most positive way possible. I am often referred to as "not your average girl", I love to shop, hang out with my friends, and get my nails done, however I can play NBA2k on PlayStation all day as well. I thoroughly enjoy weekends at home watching Netflix and relaxing. I am a formal personal blogger with hopes of sharing my personal thoughts with the entire HerCampus community. "A lot of people resist transition and therefore never allow themselves to enjoy who they are. Embrace the change, no matter what it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you're in and take advantage of it." - Nikki Giovanni
