The other day I was at my happy place; Target (I wrote a previous article about it, which you can find here). It was around 1PM that I was doing some unnecessary shopping in the Easter section. I know that not everyone celebrates Easter, but those who do know that it is on April 21, which is still over four weeks away, and yet Target is already on point with their Easter merchandise. They have a giant bunny waving to everyone with a variety of candy lining the aisles so I had to look. Now this is where self-control kicks me but unfortunately, I do not have that. I grabbed the first thing I saw which is my weakness every time spring comes back around- Cadbury Mini Eggs. Cadbury chocolate is not the greatest of chocolates, but when put into a small bite-sized egg with beautiful pastel colors, no one can say no. My family has been obsessed with these mini eggs since they first came out and now every time we see them we cannot help but buy every single package on the shelf. So, I did just that, just kidding. I bought one bag, the large size, and I’ve been portioning them out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has now been 24 hours. and they are already gone. This just shows you how much I love chocolate. The problem I have is it’s not just the Easter section or the Christmas section or the Valentine’s section it’s the everyday aisle lined with candy from the top to the bottom that I don’t have self-control for. Next time you’re in Target, I recommend going to the holiday section and finding the purple bag with little eggs on the front and just devour the whole thing because I promise you, you will only feel guilty if you don’t buy them. I might see you there because I’m going to buy another bag every day.
