This semester we recruited a few new chapter writers, one of which is Jamie Caines! She is a sophmore studying Bioengineering, and the third Boston Latin School alumna and dancer to join in the last year! As a new part of our HC family, we asked her some questions that will help you get to know her too!!
What relevant experience do you have? And how will you use it as part of Her Campus Harvard?
I grew up reading Vogue magazines, etc, so I think I have a decent taste of what the article structures and topics might be. I also have experience meeting with people through HSWE, as I would often meet with company representatives to draft a plan for sponsorship with them. A writer of Her Campus would need to be able to communicate well, and interview people in a professional and confident way, and I believe I have these abilities.
What is something you are passionate about?
I am passionate about diversity in STEM, finance, and entrepreneurship, as well as dance and art as a form of self-expression and growth.
What are some things you are involved in on campus?
Expressions Dance Company, Society of Women Engineers, Harvard College Japan Initiative
What is the way to your heart?
Food! creativity, kindness
