It’s midterms week. That means in addition to your standard collegework, you now have tests to study for, essays to write, presentations to give and group projects to hand in. It’s A LOT TO HANDLE. But when it’s too much to handle, we tend to give our best friend Netflix a call. I mean, I deserve a 30-minute break after 10 minutes of studying! Here’s a list of our favorite shows to watch while procrastinating —ahem— taking a study break. Sit back, relax on your couch and enjoy your well deserved “ME time” (even if, you know, you haven’t really done anything yet).

Parks and Recreation

Follow around the fellows from the Department of Parks and Recreation in Pawnee, Indiana. Amy Poehler plays the head of the Parks and Recreation Department, so you can guess how crazy this show is willing to get. Things get downright hilarious with the help of an amazing cast that includes Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, and Rob Lowe. This show is a side-splitter!

New Girl

Starring Zooey Deschanel as an adorable-yet-awkward teacher who is fresh out a break-up and moves into a new apartment she found on Craiglist, with three male roommates. You’ll fall in love with every single character and will definitely want them in your life. This hilarious show will have you pausing Netflix to catch your breath from laughing so hard!

Saturday Night Live

SNL was the birthplace of Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and dozens of other great comedians. In terms of launching comic careers, this late-night staple is Mecca, so you’re in for some great laughs. As a bonus, your favorite actors and musicians guest host the show and get downright silly with the cast!

The Office

We thank Netflix for allowing us to relive all nine seasons of this classic from the beginning to end. The American version is too hilarious to handle. We’ve missed you, Michael Scott.

30 Rock

Tina Fey. Enough said. But also, Tina Fey.

Go! Go! Go! Let’s watch those shows.
