1. The Perfect Date

The newest Netflix addition is definitely as cheesy as all the others (i.e. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Kissing Booth, etc), but who doesn’t love them. They’re the perfect guilty pleasure to have you and your girlfriends swooning for days. To start, Noah Centineo is just as charming as he is in TABILB and is all the more crushworthy. In this movie he plays a high school senior who’s applying to one of the most prestigious Ivy League schools. To help him make enough money to be able to afford said university, he devises a plan along with his friend to go on paid dates with as many people as possible. He meets a girl, who will eventually because his friend, and they start to have a budding, platonic relationship. To see how their relationship turns out, log on to Netflix to find out. Overall, this is the perfect movie to sit back and enjoy without too much thinking involved.

2. Legally Blonde

This classic movie is just about as good as it get. With humor, romance, sorority girls, and criminal trials with just about everything in between it is the perfect movie to watch with your friends. This movie is one of my favorites, so my roommates and I watched it recently since they hadn’t seen it. This type of movie isn’t typically their cup of tea, but they were laughing along with Elle just as much as I was. To start Elle, as a sorority sister is expecting to be proposed to by her long-term boyfriend, but expectations aren’t quite fulfilled. To win him back she decides that she has to go to Harvard Law School, the institution that he is attending. Along the way, she becomes increasingly better at both law and figuring herself out as a person. This movie will have you laughing out loud and is definitely worth the watch.

3. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Nothing will make you feel more sisterly love than The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. This book turned movie is inspiring and just an overall feel good movie. While the cinematography and acting may leave something to be desired, the story itself is enough to make up for it. This movie is a bit of a tear-jerker so if you’re looking for something a bit emotional this one has got you covered. It follows four friends going their separate ways on vacation and one pair of pants that connects them all.

4. Definitely, Maybe

Two words: Ryan Reynolds. I think everyone I talk to has just a little crush on him, and this movie only intensifies the feelings. He plays a father who is pressured into describing his love life to his daughter in light of his divorce from her mother. Watch Reynold’s journey through three different relationships and the ups and downs that follow. Honestly, this movie has it all from comedic moments to heartfelt scenes that leave you wanting more.

5. Mama Mia!

Personally, I think i can watch Mama Mia 20 times and it will never get old. The story follows a daughter who is getting married but wants her father to be there for her big day. Unfortunately… she doesn’t know who her father is. In light of finding her mother’s diary from back in the day, she invites three men mentioned in the journal. Now, you can imagine the mother confusion when she realizes all three of her daughters potential fathers are present for the wedding. This musical film is touching and heartwarming. Honestly, it never does get old. This movie is perfect to have a sing along with your friends, and if you don’t know the songs the story is just as much of a reason to watch.
