It is officially that time of year. Time to go back to college. In my case, I am starting my sophomore year of college which means I have a better understanding of how it all works this time around. I spent my freshman year figuring out the ins and outs of campus, like which dining court serves the best food, and how to schedule my classes strategically where I don’t end up having to roll out of bed for a 7:30.
As another year begins, new trends replace our previous “fit-spo.” New year means new you! Here are three pieces that are super popular right now for you to incorporate into your wardrobe this year so you can conquer campus with style!
- All-White SneakersAthletic-chic is soooo in right now! I recently purchased a pair of white Nike Air Force 1’s and it was definitely worth it! They are so cute, and the good thing about them is that you can dress them up or down. I have seen so many pictures on my Instagram feed of girls pairing them with a cute flowy dress and others dressing them down and wearing them with yoga pants and a cute t-shirt. They are so versatile and a must-have for this school year!
- Straight-Leg JeansStraight-Leg Jeans are the new love of my life. I recently traded out all my skin-tight skinny jeans (which I have been an avid-fan of since high school) for some nice pairs of straight-leg jeans. They have completely transformed my style and I think they add a touch of sophistication to any outfit. These jeans have also inspired me to expand my wardrobe to pairs that flare at the ankle. My favorite thing about them is you can breathe will wearing them! I love skinny jeans, but some pairs can practically cut off your circulation.
- Graphic TeesI have recently started a collection of graphic t-shirts and I am loving them. My favorite thing about this trend is how many different designs there are. Some shirts give a message of empowerment and others are just quirky little sayings that catch your eye. I love pairing these cute graphic tees with a pair of jeans and some layered necklaces and matching earrings. It creates such an effortless and fashionable outfit that looks like it took a lot of effort when it totally didn’t! (Bonus points if the shirt has a cute saying about a cause you care about!)
