Now that the new school year is soon approaching, students are hitting stores for their annual back to school shopping. However, if you’re a struggling college student, back to school shopping may seem pretty stressful. Lucky for us, many different stores offer student discounts so we can save money and ball on a budget! Here’s a list of some of the most popular brands and stores that offer student discounts on all things ranging from retail to restaurants!
Subscriptions
- Amazon Prime Student– Just $6.49 a month (rather than $12.99 for non-students). Includes fast and free shipping, unlimited music and movie streaming, free unlimited photo storage and more!
- Spotify/Hulu– offers a student discount of just $4.99 a month of Spotify Premium (no ads), access to Hulu and Showtime. I mean, come on…to good to pass up!
- Apple Music– If you prefer Apple Music instead of Spotify, then you can get it for just $4.99 (rather than $9.99) when you sign up with your .edu email!
Retail
- H&M– H&M offers a 15% student discount when you register with UNiDaYS, a company that offers student discounts for over 150 brands and stores! Sign up with your student email, redeem your first promo code and apply it at check out! You can get 15% off all your online orders with a new promo code for each time you shop.
- Banana Republic– Get 15% off in-store only by showing your school ID (applies for teachers, too)!
- ASOS– Sign up with your student email and get 10% off!
- Levi’s– Register and get 15% off in stores and online!
School
- Chegg Textbook Rental– Get 90% off your textbooks when you rent them on Chegg. You have a 21 day period of free returns if you decide to switch or drop classes!
- Chegg Tutors– 30 minutes of free tutoring sessions to all new students.
Restaurants
- Chipotle- Show your ID and get a free drink!
- Dairy Queen- When you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, show your ID and get 10% off at your nearest DQ!
- McDonald’s- Show a valid school ID and get a free burger or McFlurry! Some locations may or may not offer them so just ask beforehand!
- Buffalo Wild Wings- Participating locations offer 10% off your meal by showing your ID!
