Creating a routine is hard for any college student, from classes to balancing school activities. We rarely have time to sit down and pamper ourselves. Taking into consideration that some classes start at 8 or 9 a.m. in the morning we have limited time to do an entire full face. Fear not, I have came up with the perfect “everyday makeup routine” and it only takes 10 minutes to complete.

Step 1: Brows

Since this is an everyday makeup routine you don’t want to spend too much time sculpting your eyebrows. I suggest using a Brow Pencil to fill in the sparse area. This will also give you a more natural look which is something I would suggest for a college student.

Suggested Products: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, NYX Professional Micro Brow Pencil, e.l.f. cosmetics Ultra Precise Brow Pencil

Step 2: Foundation/BB Cream

Next is one of my favorite part, applying a foundation or BB Cream. Depending on the coverage that you want using a foundation will give you a more mattified or dewy look. Most girls like foundation because it allows them to have a more even look in regards to their skin. If you do want a more light to natural coverage I would suggest using a BB Cream.

Suggested Products: Maybelline Fit Me, L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation, Juvia’s Place I Am Magic foundation

Step 3: Conceal

Concealer is a good way to cover any blemishes, acne or dark spots that you may not want to be seen. Places such under eyes, the bridge of your nose, and around your nose. These are some of the common places to spot conceal.

Suggested Products: NYX Professional High Definition Makeup, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

Step 4: Set and Contour

After applying your concealer you want to take the time to set your product. This will prevent creasing and allow your makeup to be locked in for the day. Now you can transition into contouring or bronzing. This will allow some color to be brought back to your face and allow definition to be evident.

Suggested Products: Airspun powder, Essence Brighten Up Banana powder, Black Radiance True Complexion, BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Contour palette, Maybelline Fit Me! Gel Stick

Step 5: Highlight

This step has to be one of the most anticipated portions of doing your makeup. Highlight allows you to add a nice glow to your face. Depending on your skin color, you can choose from an array of highlights shades. Shades such as: gold, yellow, and pink allows you to bring height and attracts light to your skin as well.

Suggested Products: Wet n Wild MegaGlow, ColourPop Super Shock, Makeup Revolution Ignite Face, ABH Glow Kits

To finish off the look you can add lashes or simply apply massacre to your top and bottom lashes. You can then add a setting spray, and finish with one of your favorite lip glosses. Then you’re all SET! This easy 10 minute look will allow you to look nice and dewy on a daily basis. Don’t forget to create a routine that works best for your skin type. Everyone’s skin is different, some products may work for other people but not for you. Take the time to test products and try different methods, and you’ll eventually find a routine that works best for you!
