Get Ready to Head Back to School in Style with Our Fall Lookbook

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

In honor of getting back into the swing of things, Her Campus Lasell is heading back to school in style.  We’ve got the tips and insights to get you through, whether you’re a freshman or a senior.

Need some new fall outfit ideas for back to school, but you are on a broke college kid budget? I got you covered. Here are 5 outfit ideas for back to school!

For the first outfit, the essentials I have are; one of my favorite pairs of sneakers. These floral Vans I actually thrifted. Sneakers are always essential for back to school especially for walking from class to class you need comfy shoes. Then, I have one of my favorite pair of jeans from Talbots. My favorite style of jeans is high-waisted skinny ankles. Whatever your favorite pair of jeans are weather they are jeggings or mom jeans a new pair of jeans are always a nice feeling. Since, jeans are something I wear all the time I am okay with spending a little more money on them so that they will last, but again you could thrift a nice pair. I think another essential is a good basic mock neck or turtleneck long sleeve shirt. The one I am wearing is a Primark mock neck sweater. I really like the berry color on it and the lettuce trim on the sleeves. Unfortunately, I could not find the exact one I recently purchased in the store, but here is a good basic black mock neck sweater.

I also really like accessorizing. I know that is not everyone’s favorite, but a really easy way to dress up an outfit is a basic pair of hoop earrings. I really like wearing hoop earrings when I do an updo. Another easy way is to embrace your inner VSCO girl with a scrunchie. I got my cute cheetah print one from Target. Cheetah print as we all know is always in for the fall. Belts are another easy way to accessorize. I also picked up this black belt in my recent Primark trip.

I love easy outfits like this because you can throw a layer over it and it is a new outfit! Also, by changing the accessories or shoes it makes it a new outfit. It also helps bring these outfits into the winter.

For this outfit, I added this blue flyaway cardigan from Primark. I swear this is not sponsored by Primark they just have fashionable and inexpensive basics. I really enjoy the button details on this cardigan it was exactly what I was looking for. I would also add some blue booties to this for wintertime.

Another way to layer this outfit is a jean jacket. A fall wardrobe must-have, rock that denim on denim.

Another great fall essential, as I mentioned before, is animal print. Button-up blouses are just a great basic as well if you need a business casual outfit for a presentation or you can make it casual by tying a knot in the front of the top. The cheetah print blouse I have on is from H&M.

The last outfit I have is another basic green stripe long sleeve top from Primark. I paired it with black flowy bootcut pants and black booties. Bootcut pants, weather jeans or cotton material, are a fall must-have. I really like the detailing of the zipper on this side zip pair of black booties

I hope these outfits and essentials gave you some outfit inspo to start your semester off right!
