This year, HCLUC is super excited to be branching out into other mediums (on top of the content our fantastic writers have been putting out). We recently published our first YouTube video – with more to come – and can finally announce our chapterās FIRST podcast!Ā
We (Diana and Shelby), will be releasing the first episode of āGetting Thereā next week, so today weāre here to talk about what you can expect from it! Each episode will be around 30 minutes long, published every Tuesday morning, and will feature a mix of guests and experts.
Shelby: Itās all in the title for this one. Weāre both seniors in college and are just about as terrified as we are excited for whatās going to happen once we get our diplomas. Life right now, as young women on the verge of adulthood (but still clinging to the label of students), is a highly-pressurized, crazy-busy, and on-the-cusp moment. And we know that we arenāt the only ones feeling this way. Whether youāre also a college senior or youāre somewhere else on this journey, thereās something here for you. Between jokes, self-exposing stories, and our favorite pieces of advice, weāre going to look at topics that have helped us, as we continue to get there…wherever āthereā may be.Ā
Diana: To be honest, this podcast means a lot to us. We see it as an opportunity for us to share our experiences with our listeners, as well as foster an environment where others want to join in. This is also a great chance for us to reflect on our college experience during our last year and verbally process what weāre feeling during this transitional time of our lives. The possibilities are endless, and we have a variety of episodes planned for the duration of the semester (and hopefully, the rest of the year!) We see this podcast living on past our time at Loyola, being passed on to other members and members after them.
Our first episode will deal with the all-too-real fact that weāre seniors now. We reminisce on how we ended up at Loyola, how weāve seen personal growth over the last few years, and why we think being a senior feels so scary. It will be published on Tuesday, October 1, so mark your calendars and keep your eyes (and ears) open!Ā
