It’s time to pull out the eyeliner and hair dye from 2008: Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy are going to perform together in cities all across the world for their newly announced “Hella Mega Tour.”
The bands all revealed this news via social media on Tuesday, September 10. The tour will begin on March 8, 2020 in Singapore and ends on August 29, 2020 in Philadelphia. They will travel through 21 countries in a total of 42 shows, being joined by the Interrupters for the North American leg of the tour.
On top of announcing the tour, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day both posted that they are working on new albums. Weezer’s is titled “Van Weezer” and set to be released on May 15, 2020; Green Day’s album, “Father of All Motherf****rs,” will be released February 7, 2020; and Fall Out Boy’s “Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two” on November 15, 2019.
In addition to the albums, all three bands put out new songs the day they announced the tour. Fall Out Boy came out with “Dear Future Self (Hands Up),” Green Day with “Father of All…,” and Weezer with “The End of the Game.”
