Freshman year. You dreamed of it all through high school, used the thought of it to motivate you through senior year, and it’s finally here! For some of us, it’s been nothing but fun, fun, fun since we’ve arrived, but for most of us, there have also been some stressful moments. During these moments, it’s more important than ever to push yourself up and power through. It can be easy to lift our friends up and be a support system for them, but it’s much more difficult to encourage ourselves. Here are some motivational tips for feeling like a queen when life’s got you down!

It’s the small habits. How you spend your mornings. How you talk to yourself. What you read. What you watch. Who you share your energy with. Who has access to you. That will change your life.

Little things we do on a daily basis fill our minds with pictures of what the world should be, how we should be, and what we should aim to achieve. Filling your day with positive ideas, media, and people will help you to paint a picture of success and healthy habits (Game of Thrones is great but balance it with some happier programs as well!!)

Babe, stop letting your potential go to waste because you don’t feel confident or ready enough. People are making serious waves while you’re still waiting to feel ready.

It’s hard to take the first step and try something new, say what’s really on our minds, or even to apply your talent, but we really do only have one life, and it goes by really fast! Don’t wait for the right moment, make the right moment. You got this lady!

You’ll never get what you truly deserve if you remain attached to what you’re supposed to let go of.

Relationships, friendships, old habits, and bad mentalities are hard to shake, but in order to fill your day with people and things that benefit you and help to build you up, you have to get rid of the things that tear you down. You need people that will treat you like the Queen that you are!

“Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Fall in love with the path of deep healing. Fall in love with becoming the best version of yourself but with patience, with compassion and respect to your own journey”

Ultimately, we owe it to ourselves to allow ourselves to have happiness. The voice in your head is with you all day…so sometimes it says nasty stuff to break you down! Make sure you’re making your well-being and happiness a priority in your life. Take a portion out of your day to do something that truly makes you happy and relaxed. Keep up with healthy habits as well!!
