3 Cheap, Fast, and Spooky Halloween Party Treats

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

Do you ever have an event where you have to make something in a hurry? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said I’d bring something and forgot last minute and have to rush getting something mediocre ready. Well, don’t fret! I have three super cheap and fast fall treats for any fall party.

1. Banana Ghosts and Orange Pumpkins

These are the cutest and probably the cheapest out of all! All you need are blueberries, bananas, and popsicle sticks. You just put the stick in half of the bananas, plop the blueberries on as eyes, and you’re done! For the pumpkins, you’ll need celery and tangerines. You peel the tangerine, push the celery through the top like a stem, and then you have two easy and healthy snacks for any occasion. Your daughter’s soccer game, a fall fest, who knows!? The possibilities are endless!

2. Straw-ghouls

These snacks require a little more effort due to the chocolate. All you need are strawberries, white chocolate, and black piping icing. First, dip the strawberry into the melted chocolate and make sure it drips while placing it on wax paper to get a cute little ghost tail. Then, add eyes and mouth holes to it and voila!

3. Mummy Dogs

Who doesn’t love a good hotdog? These require crescent rolls, hotdogs, and an oven. Take the crescent roll and wrap it around the hotdog but leave a small gap on the top to make eyes like a mummy. Then you take tiny bits of the roll and make eyes. You’ll bake these for 10 minutes and then cool. They’re cute, but by far take the most work with the wrapping and baking.
