Five Things to Love About Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Dartmouth chapter.

There’s lots to love about fall, especially the gorgeous northern New England fall. Here are five of my favorite things about the season:

1. Enjoying that last bit of nice – in comparison to the New England winter – weather.

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is to spend as much as time outside as possible, cherishing the semi-warm weather before winter rolls around with its sub-zero temperatures. And with the trees changing color to gorgeous hues of red, orange, and yellow, there’s no better time to be outside.

2. Apple picking. If you haven’t been apple picking during the New England fall, you’re seriously missing out. There’s honestly nothing better than enjoying fresh apples while taking in a beautiful view.

3. Apple cider. Apart from the fresh apples, there’s little that’s more satisfying than drinking a warm mug of apple cider. Or eating candy apples. Those are pretty great too.

4. Everything pumpkin flavored. Whether it’s pie, muffins, or cupcakes, I’ll take it.

5. Sweater weather. As much as I love the summer, I love pulling out all of the cute sweaters when fall rolls around.
