Halloween is just around the corner, which means the search for an easy costume that won’t break the bank is upon us. Here are the simplest costumes you can make from materials you already have in your dorm, guaranteed!
- Wednesday Adams
-
Wear a simple black dress, a white collared shirt, braid your hair, and voila – you’re ready to go.
- Batman
-
For this look, you can put on your favorite black shirt or dress, then print or draw the batman logo and safety pin it on for the night. If you want to be a little extra, you can even grab a black blanket and tie it around your neck like a cape, but that’s only optional.
- Football/Baseball Player – or really any sport.
-
You can finally put those PSU jersey’s to use besides the football games. Throw on any sports jersey you have, and then use some eyeliner to add black lines to your cheeks for extra effect.
- Mario/Luigi
-
If you have any overalls to pair with a red or green shirt, this is a great option. If you have any relatively plain hats, you could tape or safety pin an L or M to the front, and that would be a bonus.
- Rosie the Riveter
-
Any denim shirts and a red bandana would make this the perfect last minute costume.
- Pop Art
-
If you’re skilled with makeup, there are tons of cool pop art tutorials out on YouTube that coul guide you to the best look. You can wear any outfit – it really comes down to the makeup look for the full effect.
- Formal Apology
-
Wear your favorite formal outfit, bring along a sign that you can hold or string around your neck that says “I’m sorry.” You are a formal apology.
- Superwoman
-
Similarly to Batman, for this look, just dig up some red and blue clothes, and then draw or print an S to attach to the front.
- Sandy from Grease (at the end)
-
If you have a cute black top and some leggings, this should be an easy look to pull off. If you have leather, that’s extra points!
- VSCO Girl
-
We know you have it. Pull out your scrunchies, oversized tees, and HydroFlasks to impersonate the idea of a VSCO Girl. Some people might not even think you’re wearing a costume.
