3 Pieces of Jewelry Meghan Markle Inherited From Princess Diana

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Meghan Markle and Princess Diana have been compared to one another quite often. They are both “outsiders” to the royal family, they fell in love, married a prince and the rest is history.

Meghan was extremely lucky to not only nab Prince Harry, but she inherited gorgeous pieces of jewelry from her late mother-in-law’s personal collection as well.

Aquamarine Cocktail Ring

The first time Meghan ever borrowed a piece from Diana was none other than her wedding reception. The aquamarine cocktail ring matched the blue Jaguar they drove away in and added the most beautiful something blue to her bridal look. #goals

Gold Butterfly Earrings

Another piece that we were extremely jealous of the Duchess of Sussex for inheriting from Princess Diana were these dainty gold butterfly earrings. Meghan chose to wear them for the first time after announcing her pregnancy while on tour in Australia; a lovely touch to keep Harry’s late mother involved.

These are a personal favorite because they suit both Meghan and Diana’s styles so well. Pre-royal Meghan would have worn these for sure.

Gold Bracelet

While launching her clothing line, Meghan Markle paired the gold butterfly earrings with a gold bracelet. The bracelet has a gorgeous black drop detail that makes it stand out and upgrade any outfit.

As the royal correspondent of Her Campus at UCF, I say that Princess Diana and Meghan Markle would have adored each other. To have Meghan show her respect and love to Diana through her jewelry is truly touching.
