If there is one great thing about having a college ID, it is about swiping the college student discount at restaurants and stores. Even if the deal is only 10% off, that 10% can mean a couple dollars and definitely add up in the end. In my experience, it is definitely worth it to carry your ID with you (or a picture of it on your phone!) to always be able to swipe that deal!
