I am a the best zodiac sign there is: a Sagittarius. Sag dates are November 22-December 21, encompassing the period during the year where spirits are at an all time high. Snow is fallin’, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” is blasting in just about every department store, and everyone is in a giving mood. Below I’ll tell you why Sag Szn is the absolute best.
- Thanksgiving

For starters, Thanksgiving is always during Sag Szn. It is definitely a top tier holiday as it’s the one day out of the year where it’s perfectly acceptable to go back for thirds, take a nap, and came back for fourths and fifths. Everyone comes together with family (or friends) and just enjoy each other’s company. Even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, there’s no denying that that day off from school is much needed.

I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite flavors is mint/peppermint. It literally makes everything 100 times better. It goes with chocolate, vanilla, and plenty more flavors. Companies start rolling out their seasonal mint flavored items like Chick-fil-a’s peppermint milkshake, and my favorite, Mcdonald’s delicious mint hot chocolate. Even the smell of mint is sure to put you in a jolly Christmas mood. Not to mention the fact that peppermint helps with things like colds and headaches.

If you’re anything like me then you don’t buy anything without scouring the web for a discount code, or the store with the cheapest price. However, during Sag Szn, the deals just find themselves. From Black Friday and Cyber Monday to the lead up to Christmas sales, if you’re paying full price for something, you’re shopping wrong. Also, life hack here, this is the time of the year where summer items like swimsuits, shorts, and tank tops are marked down unbelievably down. Companies are trying to get rid of that inventory to make room for the more seasonal appropriate items. This same method can be applied to coats in the spring/summertime.

Although Spongebob led y’all to believe anytime is the best time to wear a striped sweater, Sag Szn is actually the most ideal time. During this time, we experience fall and winter. This means going from cute sweater and leggings combos to full on layered fits. I always say that fall/winter are the seasons that highlight the true fashionistas. Cold weather doesn’t just mean cute cozy fits. I always wait for this time of year so I can fire up my fireplace. The smell of the wood burning and the warmth it brings will be a forever mood. Maybe it’s because I’m a December baby, but cold weather >>> warm weather.
