I Would DIE for Claire from the B.A. Test Kitchen, and Here’s Why

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clemson chapter.

If you don’t know who Claire from the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen is, where have you been?

Claire Saffitz- a culinary goddess in her own right – is famous for Bon Appétit’s “Gourmet Makes” series where she takes on common packaged food and recreates the with her own gourmet twist. Some endeavors are more successful than others, but no matter the challenge, Claire’s not afraid to show her horror, vulnerability, and triumphs. While it’s hard to track down the first time someone said they would “die for Claire from the B.A. Test Kitchen,” it’s not hard to track down tee shirts and bumper stickers to match the iconic phrase.

She genuinely loves her co-workers and wants to celebrate their unique personalities.

She’s crazy talented AND gets frustrated like the rest of us.

She’s dramatic and defeated – but she also gets it DONE. How can I be more like her?

She listens to suggestions and is dedicated enough to actually MEASURE A CHILD for Sour Patch Kids.

She can temper chocolate. Sometimes, it just takes a few tries…

She has a dehydrator, and she’s not afraid to use it.

She knows what’s important and what’s not – and sometimes that means forgetting what you’re even doing.

She loves her mom, even when she’s VERY wrong about Twizzlers.

She has an amazing team around her, and they’re just as entertaining as the food.

She’s not afraid of a killer comeback.

These are just some of the many reasons I love Claire from the B.A. Test Kitchen. I could have a whole article on her catchphrases alone!
