A Guide to Valentine’s in Nashville

While Nashville is a big city full of fun experiences, it can sometimes be hard to think of things to do for Valentine’s (or galentine’s) Day, especially if you’re on a budget. Here are some great ways to spend Valentine’s with your significant other or even your best gals!  

1. Valentine’s Day River Cruise

If you have a little bit of extra money to splurge on your loved one, this excursion is sure to provide fantastic views! You can enjoy scenic views of the Cumberland River while enjoying live music and fine dining aboard the General Jackson Showboat. The cruise begins at 6:15 pm and is sure to give you amazing views of downtown Nashville at night. Tickets range from $90/person for the full expereince of prime seating, to $57/person for general seating (still with a view)! For $122/person, you can get a behind the scenes tour of the boat as well as an upgraded meal and drink!

2. East Nashville Night Market

For those who want to spend a little less money (or even no money at all), the East Nashville Night Market is your way to go! You can enjoy the market on Valentine’s evening and look through a variety of vendors as well as food trucks!

3. Frist Art Museum

This Valentine’s the Frist Art Museum is hosting “Love Struck: A Valentine’s Day Event” from 5:30-8:30 pm! For $50/person, you can enjoy two drinks, assorted menu bites, and an art show with live music. The event is based upon “Life, Love, and Marriage Chests in Italy” with the menu being Italian cuisine and desserts, as well as champagne and a fun Valentine’s themed photobooth!

4. Dinners in Nashville

For those who are looking to simply enjoy a nice dinner with their friends or significant others, Nashville has a variety of fun restaurants to visit on Valentine’s. If you’re single, the bars on Broadway are offerring discounts as well as a fun “bar crawl” experience. For those looking to dine together, try: Urban Grub, Hattie B’s, North Italia, Cheesecake Factory, and even Frothy Monkey for a festive Valentine’s dinner!

5. Nashville Ballet

For those who enjoy music and dancing and getting a little dressy, the Nashville Ballet is having its world premier of Attitude: Other Voices (a ballet exploring gender identity and stereotypes throgh groundbreaking choreography) on Valentine’s Day. Depending on seating, you can get tickets for anywhere from $30/person to $88/person. The ballet will be held in the TPAC Polk Theater and will start at 7:30 pm.
