Valentine’s Day comes and goes every year and while some of us are fortunate enough to have a significant other to spend it with, others may not. But I’m here to make a PSA: don’t be in your bag this Valentine’s Day. If you have a solid circle of friends you can always spend the day together! Keep reading to get some ideas for celebrating this February 14th. (and because this Valentine’s Day is a Friday, use these tips to celebrate love the whole weekend!)

1. Wine Night

Pull up to your bestie’s house, pop open the cork, sit down, and just enjoy each other’s company. Everyone loves wine so of course it would be my first suggestion for how you should spend your GALentine’s day. Call me basic… but my personal favorite is Barefoot Pink Moscato. Wine, good music, and your best friends are always a good mix.

2. Karaoke

Not everyone is Beyonce but you can enjoy singing your favorite songs by doing karaoke. This GALentine’s day idea is always fun because you can not only cheer on your friends if their vocals are pretty good; but you can also have fun giggling about how bad you might sound. Either way, karaoke is always fun because you can sing some of your favorite songs and enjoy good vibes.

3. At-Home Spa Night

My favorite part about this idea is that you can stay in for the night and it’s inexpensive. Don’t think that because it’s a spa night that you have to spend $5.99 for a “hydrating-detressing” face mask when you can make your own with ingredients you have around the house. Oatmeal, yogurt, and even avocados can be put to good use. Google recipes for a DIY face mask so you and your friends can enjoy a night of self care and relaxation.

4. Dinner Date

You don’t always need a boo to go out to dinner on Valentine’s day. Instead, go on a dinner date with your friends. This is always fun to do because you guys can get dressed up and go to your favorite restaurant or if you’re feeling adventurous, try someplace new. After dinner (or even before), find a cute place for you and your squad to take some pictures.

However you end up spending your Valentine’s Day (bae or no bae), don’t be bitter. Focus on enjoying the friends and loved ones who appreciate you or focus on yourself by indulging in some self care!
