This song has been stuck on repeat for me since it came out. It’s only three minutes long, so it always leaves me wanting more! This song has a really good beat and amazing vocals. When BTS’s Jungkook and Jimin come in and they all start harmonizing, it’s so melodic and sounds like heaven. The lyrics are super relatable and tell a story about how people you love can change until they’re unrecognizable. You should also check out the rest of Lauv’s album, ~how i’m feeling~, which is filled with hits including “i’m so tired…” and “fuck, i’m lonely (ft. Anne-Marie)”. All his songs have a great vibe, and Lauv is actually coming to Red Rocks in August, so make sure to get your tickets ASAP! — Oriel Voegele
- “I Love Me” by Demi Lovato

This is another song that’s been on repeat for me this week! Demi Lovato released this intimate self-love anthem on March 6th alongside a killer music video. Lovato has been out of the public eye since her hospitalization in 2018, but she is back and better than ever with the release of her second single of the year, “I Love Me.” Lovato told Ellen DeGeneres that she is working on herself. “I have to fight those battles on my own, and I can’t let somebody come in and fix those issues for me,” she said. “So right now, I’m single and spending my Saturday nights by myself.” That’s some advice that I think I could take. To be completely honest, there was a good month where I was obsessed with this song and didn’t really listen to anything else. It’s so addicting. The lyrics describe a relationship where two people stay together even though they aren’t right for each other. It’s a pretty short song, but every part of it is so fun to sing along to, especially while driving around at night. If you feel like you’ve heard it before, it’s definitely been trending on Tik Tok, too. — Oriel Voegele
- “B.S. (feat. H.E.R.)” by Jhené Aiko

This song definitely stays on repeat. With lyrics like, “I am on my own now, I am in control now, I need you to go now, I can fix my own crown,” this song makes me feel like a total badass. “B.S. (feat. H.E.R.)” is a single from Jhené Aiko’s third album, Chilombo, which was released on March 6th. Aiko recorded the entire album in Hawaii and drew inspiration from the island’s landscape and the traditional singing bowls of the culture to create a meditative effect. Aiko collaborated with big names like John Legend, Big Sean, Future and Ty Dolla Sign. Check out the rest of her album! — Anna Hansil

This song makes me feel like I’m running around New York or LA and I’m about to have the night of my life. The fast beat always makes me want to get up and dance, and it has such a fun 80’s vibe to it. The Weeknd’s upcoming album, After Hours, comes out on March 20th and is supposed to have a dark and broody sound to it. So far, the other songs released from the album, “After Hours” and “Heartless,” also sound amazing. This album is definitely one to look forward to! — Oriel Voegele

Lauv fanatics will recall his brief relationship with singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, which happened after the pair collaborated on their song, “There’s No Way.” Though the two began having feelings for each other when first writing the song, the chemistry-filled music video is what made the sparks turn into flames, and many fans supported the relationship wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, after a few months, the pair split, Michaels divulging details of the break-up on social media to her fans. Soon after, on her Inner Monologue EPs, Michaels released even more details to her fans, some coming in the form of some especially scathing lyrics.
When Lauv first released the tracklist to ~how i’m feeling~, fans noticed the name of the penultimate song and began speculating about what the track would reveal. The wait is now over, and what Lauv has penned with “Julia” is an eloquent apology to his ex-girlfriend. The simple production lends an air of genuineness to the song, and it certainly is a beautiful song to say sorry with. Michaels seems to have made a great impact on Lauv and the song brings closure to what seems to have been a painful separation for the two singer-songwriters. — Tiara Stephan

I’m really looking forward to 5 Seconds of Summer’s upcoming album, CALM, which comes out on March 27th. So far, all the songs released sound amazing. I love “Teeth” and “Easier,” and I definitely went through a whole phase where I only played those two songs on repeat. “No Shame” has a really great build-up to a super catchy chorus. 5 Seconds of Summer is also coming to Colorado and performing at the Fillmore Auditorium on August 19th during their “No Shame Tour” so you’ll want to get your tickets before they sell out! — Oriel Voegele
- “Funky Galileo” – Sure Sure

If Sure Sure isn’t on your radar, they should be. The quirky, art-pop band is fairly young, but the four-piece band is such a tight-knit group that you wouldn’t know it. They make their music out of their home in Los Angeles, and their sound definitely has a polished, DIY feel to it, which only adds to the fun of their music. If you’re searching for a good place to become acquainted with Sure Sure, one of their most popular songs is their cover of The Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place,” or check out “What’s It Like?”— a song about meeting someone in the chip aisle of a grocery store and falling in love. The band wrote “Funky Galileo,” imagining the Italian astronomer at a nightclub, tearing up a dancefloor. The song is just as groovy as it sounds, so check it out if you’re looking for a good time. — Tiara Stephan
