On February 21st, the release of the “Map Of The Soul 7” album created a wave of shock for not only the notorious fanbase called “Army” but for the whole world. After having taken a break from the hustle and bustle of touring and making music, BTS had a challenge at hand. The next album “Map Of The Soul 7” was the most difficult creations for the band. The “Love Yourself” album trilogy and tour made such a huge success leading them to wonder, how are we going to top this? Despite the difficulty, BTS managed to release a masterpiece of an album. Songs like “Black Swan” and “On” reflect how many hardships BTS has gone through. However, despite the tough times BTS still rise to the challenge even if they have to “bring the pain on”.

This album has 19 songs in total on the hardcopy CD album and 20 songs on the digital album due to the exclusive track of “On” featuring Sia only being available digitally. There are four versions of “Map Of The Soul 7” each with different concepts and of course photocards. This era of BTS for sure is portraying a sort of maturity in not just the younger members such as Jungkook, V, and Jimin but also older members such as J-Hope, Suga, RM, and Jin. This album comes off as a portfolio of how far BTS have come as a band. In the song “We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal” there seems to be a sense of gratefulness toward “army’s” with lyrics such as “we were only seven” and “we have you all now”. This shows how their success is not only thanks to the band but also the fans, in a sense “army” and BTS are one big team.
Overall, BTS continues to shine through the music industry with bright colors. Their messages of hope bring people together, it’s no surprise that so many people easily fall in love with the seven boys. The new album “Map Of The Soul 7” has for sure captured many more hearts as well, the expansion of “army” and BTS will continue as their career continues. This album is not only helping the band members learn about the map to their soul but, also about the map to your soul.
