Makeup from a Distance: Top Too Faced Products to Buy Online During Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SAU chapter.

I think it’s safe to say that we can all agree on something right about now: social distancing/quarantine is not doing us well. Although it’s for a good purpose, social distancing is taking its toll on all of us. However, I can say for certain that retail therapy, while not technically in a retail store, often makes me feel better… especially when it comes to makeup! My favorite brand of makeup right now is Too Faced. Whenever I order something off the website, my package comes in a pretty pink box with cute pink paper confetti holding my newest prized possession (and some freebies here and there). So, before you start making your fifth meal of the day, take a peek at my compiled list of my favorite Too Faced products that I’ve tried and found to be truly amazing!

The Basics

 Primers

  • Hangover Primer: $34

    • I received this primer as a sample, and the main thing I noticed was that this primer not only smelled like a coconut, but it also kept my eyeshadow on all day (since I used it mainly for my eye area!)

  • Primed and Peachy Face Primer: $34

    • Full disclosure: I have OILY skin! However, this primer did an AMAZING job making sure my skin looked like it was clean and matte all day long. Even in the San Diego heat (Summer 2k19, I miss you). Did I mention it smells like peaches?

Eyes, Lips, Face

Foundation

  • Born This Way Foundation: $39

    • In addition to my oily skin problem, I used to have utterly uneven skin tone. Too Faced’s Born This Way foundation, in my opinion, had close to perfect coverage and made my skin look flawless! 10/10 recommend.

Blush

  • Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo: $30

    • I used to never wear blush, but when I received this product as a gift for Christmas, I couldn’t stop using it! The duo has a little sparkle on one side, and a rose color on the other for a matte or glowing finish!

Lipstick

  • Melted Latex Lipstick: $21

    • This lipstick is just so adorable, I could wear it every day! I purchased a light pink color, slightly more pink than a nude color. From going out with friends to attending a formal event, the Melted Latex lipstick offers a wide range of beautiful colors that last all day AND night.

Eyeshadow

  • Chocolate God Eyeshadow palette: $49

    • This eyeshadow palette, made with real gold and scented with chocolate, is my go-to for when I need a little sparkle in my life! Although it does have a couple matte colors, the majority of this palette is SPARKLE! Simply spectacular!

Mascara and Eyeliner

  • Better than Sex Eyeliner: $21

    • I go NOWHERE without my wings, so when I discovered Better Than Sex eyeliner, I depended on this handy little pen for my everyday makeup look. It’s waterproof, so when you cry over how adorable your dog is, your eyeliner won’t run.

  • Better Than Sex Mascara: $25

    • I cannot say enough amazing things about this mascara. I am quite possibly the biggest fan of the Better Than Sex mascara (My boyfriend, my mom, and my boyfriend’s mom got me it for Christmas). The wand makes my eyelashes look so unreal that the beautician at Ulta asked me if they were “mine.” Once again, 10/10 recommend.
