Netflix never stops getting new shows on the platform and consistently add more for viewers to watch. There are only so many shows that we get time view though, so what shows should you watch? I’m sure there are some shows that you have seen that I haven’t and vice versa, but I’ve compiled a few of my suggestions for you.

The Good Place

“The Good Place” is a show about life after death. It focuses on the fact that there is no Heaven or Hell, but in fact a ‘Good Place’ and a ‘Bad Place.’ The show is a comedy show on Netflix, but it only has three seasons. To watch the season finale right now, you need another service such as Youtube TV. The show follows five characters; Elenor Shellstrop, Chidi Anagony, Tahani Al-jamil, Jason Mendoza, and Michael.

The Good Place is the type of show that with religious beliefs you can still enjoy the show as it isn’t heavy in religion from what I saw when watching the show. Especially being stuck inside right now due to the Covid-19 virus, you’ll have the chance and time to go through a lot of shows.

You

“You” Is a new netflix original.  It’s a romance TV show with a slight twist. This new show follows a young adult named Joe Goldberg, and the first thing we learn from him is that he will do ANYTHING for love. He wants to be able to protect the ones that he loves and will remove any obstacle if necessary to do so. ‘You’ does have blood involved so if that is something that bugs you I would maybe look online to see when the spots are ,ask a friend, or just avoid it generally.

‘You’ currently has only two seasons and is a Netflix Original show, it takes you through a lot of twists and turns throughout the seasons. It keeps the viewers wondering what will happen next and where the show is going to go.

Young & Hungry

This is one of the older shows that was found through a deep hole loop of Netflix a long time ago. “Young & Hungry” starts with two girls that seem to be having trouble with money while trying to survive. The show follows a girl named Gabi for a while being the real main character. Gabi is someone who wants to become a professional chef and ends up working for Josh, a tech entrepreneur in the series.  It is a comedy and has 5 seasons on Netflix, so it can take up a chunk of your time.

Overall, the show was entertaining to watch, but once you watch it once you probably won’t go back to rewatch it. It is a good show and one to check out if you have nothing else to watch (and is slightly more of a kids show), but it has its moment.

Team Kaylie

This show has a unique approach to what kids go through in middle school, and how a younger influencer goes about having to work with those kids. After getting into trouble with the law, Kaylie, one of the main characters, has to go to a middle school to serve her time for what happened. It can be extremely heartfelt at times and shows how celebrities learn from mistakes and just grow as humans, because they are humans too.

I liked this show. It was nice for a background noise, and the times I did pay attention, I didn’t stop to do something else. I did enjoy it and I do still recommend watching it if you are waiting for more episodes of your show to come out, or just want to watch something new for a bit.

Miraculous: Tales of ladybug & Chat Noir

Miraculous Ladybug is another title that the fans call it by. It is a cartoon that was made for children, but has caught the sight of many teenagers and adults. MLB is labeled as a comedy show and has 3 seasons on Netflix. The story follows two characters in the show, but mainly focuses on one of them more, their names are Marinette and Adrien. They become superheros to protect paris. It is an animated and adorable show, and people say that there is a love square with the characters.

I really ended up loving this show and can’t wait for season four to come out. It has a deeper meaning behind it and has canonical growth with the characters learning how to deal with defeat. It truly can be enjoyed by any age, even if feeling childlike sometimes. Sadly, due to the lower budgets and how much people expect from it, they lost one of their animators. However, this didn’t stop fans from being excited for what is going to come from the show!
