How To Keep Yourself Busy While Social Distancing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Queen's U chapter.

These unprecedented times of dealing with the pandemic that is coronavirus has caused much anxiety and stress. Being forced to stay inside and engage in social isolation, although not an outrageous demand from the government, may invoke heightened negativity for some people. It may lead to an increase in mental health issues as individuals are forced to stay in their homes and deal with their feelings. For people like myself, staying busy is what helps me cope with unwanted feelings. Here is a long list of things you can do at home to distract your mind:

  1. Do home workouts

While it seems like the world is on hold, take this time for some personal growth. Nurture your hobbies, take care of yourself, and pay attention to the things that really matter. Allow this period to be a time of reflection and let everyone come out of this feeling refreshed.
