What Is In My Shopping Cart During The Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FIU chapter.

While being stuck in my house can get pretty boring, I found myself doing my favorite activity… window shop. This isn’t the best idea I would say, but I have definitely found myself entertained by the many trends I cannot wait to pull off once we are out of quarantine.

If you find yourself bored and looking for a way to distract yourself amidst all the chaos, find your favorite clothing store online and take a look around! To give you an idea of some items I have placed in my shopping cart I wrote a little list below to help give you an idea!

H&M:

  1. I gasped when I found a soft shoulder bag! I saw this all over NYFW and I just knew I had to get my hands on one. H&M has it in black and I already have planned the outfits to go along with this bag.

  2. Belt bags are still on-trend and will be sure to make an appearance this summer! I was lucky to find a cream croc belt bag and I couldn’t be more in love with a bag.

  3. Laced sandals… that’s all I have to say I need a pair in every color. It is a summer essential.

Shein:

  1. Although fast-fashion is not my favorite way to shop for clothing, it does allow me to try new styles without paying a large price. For example, in my shopping cart, I have a pair of black biker shorts so that I can learn how to style them and if I end up not liking it I can always donate it or resell the item without feeling bad about spending a large amount of money.

  2. Pastel-colored tops! I can’t wait to rock this summer with the colors! So far I have several lilacs and pastel pink colored blouses that I can experiment with.

  3. A gold hoop chain belt is so versatile to me! You can pair them with jeans, a dress, or even pair it with a swimsuit and use it as body jewelry!

Windsor:

  1. I never found myself shopping here but I found that Windsor has such cute swim options! I saw my cousin wearing a snakeskin bikini from here and I instantly had to put it in my shopping cart so I could get some sun!

  2. Those tricky suggestions always get me and I caved! Once my eyes landed on a floral dress I could no longer resist the urge and placed it into my shopping cart. I mean a floral dress with white sneakers? I can’t wait.

Shopping is definitely a therapy for me and my escape to get my mind out of the news and into a passion of mine, fashion. During this difficult time, allow yourself to still do the things you love the most just at home. For me that means learning more about fashion, doing online window shopping, and experimenting with clothing that is already in my closet or that will be as soon as we all resume back to normal.
