Quarantining means dire times, which causes people to resort to unique methods — from trying new recipes to searching the dark corners of Netflix for a new binge — of entertainment. Production on movies and television shows have been halted and celebrities, like the rest of us, are coming up with different ways to maintain their craft. One way many are doing this is through live streams. Different celebrities from musicians to actors are coming out with weekly content to entertain themselves and their fans stuck inside. Below is a few of the best ones I’ve found:
- One World Together at Home: Curated by Lady Gaga – Various Artists

This live stream airs on April 18 and has been Gaga’s effort to raise money for the global pandemic. She partnered with Global Citizen and the World Health Organization to create this event that is being compared to the historic Live-Aid in the 80’s. Gaga has already raised 35 million for the cause, and large companies and corporations are still donating. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert, and it will feature the artists Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Kacey Musgraves, to name a few. - Brightminded – Miley Cyrus

For three straight weeks Cyrus would interview multiple celebrity guests on a variety of topics on this live stream. She’s had everyone from Selena Gomez to Demi Lovato to doctors to contestants from Netflix’s Love is Blind — so there is something for everyone. While it has since ended, all 15 episodes are available for viewing on her Instagram.
- The Tonight Show (At Home Edition) – Jimmy Fallon

Every few days Fallon is continuing his late show via Instagram where he interviews celebrities and has created new segments like “Thank You Notes.” On this stream, Fallon has debuted some #quarantunes such as “Prom with Your Mom” and “Don’t Touch Grandma,” which he partnered with Adam Sandler to sing and promote social distancing.
- Some Good News – John Krasinski

While this is technically not a live stream, it is a weekly 15-minute segment posted by a celebrity. Krasinski crowd sources weekly random acts of kindness, things people are doing in quarantine, and other general “good news” to lift up people’s spirits in this chaotic time. From bringing a Hamilton fan a surprise song to interviewing his famous friend and former coworker Steve Carell, Krasinski knows how to change things up and keep things interesting. Warning: This is a good one to watch with a box of tissues nearby.
- The Quarantine Crew – Tyler C., Hannah B., and Friends

Calling all Bachelor fans!! Another video sequence that isn’t a live stream, but is a series of shenanigans put on by Bachelorette alums Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron. While quarantining with their family and friends, they have been making TikToks and engaging in other fun activities that are subsequently posted on social media. This crew is also giving Bachelor fans hope that the former flames will start dating again.
- Pastawithgrandma – Nonna Nerina

This is another cheat: she’s not actually a celebrity, but she should be. She is an 84 year old Italian grandma that live-streams pasta cooking classes every week! It is something you have to pay for, and you have to email to reserve a spot, but, if in this time you are turning to carbs and looking for new ways to fill your time like I am, I recommend checking out her page.
These are just a few of the ones that I have come across, but I have found that a lot of my favorite bands, radio stations, and celebrities do live streams at random times too! I chose not to include them because they appeal more to personal taste, however I highly recommend following your faves on IG to see if they are doing the same!
