The night starts off with an hour of a little hype up session full of today’s top hits. The next five hours are nothing far from greatness. Songs from My Chemical Romance to Fireflies by Owl City fill the room as the crowd dances, finger points, and let’s not forget mosh.
Emo Nite is THE place to be. An event tokened as being “started by three friends at a small bar dive” has become a nation-wide event. It is not a concert, but a party full of emo music. The event was founded by Morgan Freed, Babs Szabo, and T.J. Petracca in 2014.
I have been to my fair share of Emo Nites and have had a different experience with each one. Nevertheless, it has been great. From the community to the music, I always find myself having an amazing time. I found myself the happiest when listening to music that reminded me of the times I was the saddest. It is very comforting to be surrounded by an entire community of people just jamming to the same music, no worries in the world.
If you ever find yourself stumbling upon a ticket link to Emo Nite, I highly recommend taking the opportunity to experience this event at least once. Afterall, every nite is emo nite.
