Fall dates might look a little different this year. No fairs, no football games, and trying our best to social distance. Even with all of this, there are still plenty of fun fall date ideas. These would also be fun ideas with friends. So, here is HC Lasell’s favorite fall date ideas, in no particular order.

  1. Carve Pumpkins: Go to a pumpkin patch and pick out the perfect pumpkins. Either carve one together or make it a friendly competition. Keep the pumpkin seeds to roast after.

  2. Do a Corn Maze: This is a great way to see how well a couple works together! It is super fun and a cute place to take fall pictures.

  3. Bake a Fall Dessert or Cook a Fall Themed Dinner: Some personal favorite recipes have been pumpkin bread with chocolate chips and butternut squash mac and cheese. I have a recent article with a recipe for butternut squash mac and cheese. You can look forward to a recipe for bread with chocolate chips.

  4. Go, Apple Picking: There are so many yummy treats someone could also make with apples! Apple picking in an orchard would also be such a cute photo opportunity!

  5. Foliage Hike: Hiking is such a fun activity at any time of the year and can have rewarding views. Fall is the best time to go hiking though, with all the pretty foliage!

  6. Foliage Drive: Find a pretty area by you and go for a little drive. Play some fall music, get a warm coffee, and take pictures of the leaves.

  7. Get Apple Cider and Donuts: On a foliage drive, you could get warm apple cider, apple cider donuts, or apple pie. If you are up to it these would be fun desserts to make together. Some apple orchards have these items for sale.

  8. Watch a Scary Movie: To get in the spirit of Halloween, watch a scary movie on a streaming service of choice.

  9. Cozy Cafe Date: This is a great first date idea. Get some pumpkin spice coffee and enjoy a laid back date.

  10. Star Gaze: Fall nights can be super cold sometimes, so make sure to bring many cozy blankets and pillows for truck bed or grass.
