Hey guys, it’s your favorite fashionista here! I don’t know about you, but Fall appeared out of nowhere for me. One minute it was 85 degrees with clear skies, then I woke up the next day, and it was 55 degrees with some light rain, wind, and cloudy skies. The leaves are falling and changing colors. Halloween movies are coming on TV. Fall decorations are being put on display in all businesses. Now, all my mind can think about is the transition of my closet from Spring/Summer clothes to Fall/Winter clothes. Trust me girls, I know how difficult it is to try to be warm but also cute and trendy. I know the challenge of figuring out what to wear when it’s 61 degrees and super chilly outside, but you’re trying to be fashionable. It’s ok though, cause I’m here to help.

My first tip is to start shopping for some hoodies and various types of jackets. They don’t have to be super expensive. You can buy a $10-$15 hoodie, and dress it up to make your outfit look more than what it’s worth. Having a variety of jackets will be the best thing you can treat yourself to in the fall. Leather jackets are a MUST for the season. They’re such a cute simple accessory for your outfit. They can be very inexpensive, will help keep you warm, won’t be too heavy, and will assist in giving your outfit that extra “mmphh” that you may be looking for. If you realize Fall has come upon you, but all you see are short sleeve shirts and tank top bodysuits in your closet, go ahead and throw on that leather jacket to make it work with the weather. Cardigans and denim jackets will also be your best friends in the fall. A simple outfit with a nice cardigan and some classic Ugg boots will totally help you look like you’re aware of the trends, but also appropriately dressed for the season. Denim jackets can be dressed up or down. You can throw it on with a plain top, joggers, and some sneakers, and there you have it – another cute and cozy outfit for class. Another thing you can do with a denim jacket is throw it on with an out of the ordinary hoodie/top paired with black distressed jeans. Then, find a cute pair of shoes to go with it, accessorize, and you’re good to go, girl.

My second tip is to always think of Fall colors such as darker shades of yellow, a rusty orange, burgundy, forest green, brown, etc. Then remember gold jewelry is key in the fall. It tends to go with more of the fall colors than you think. It’s ok to wear silver jewelry and bright colors in the fall. The colors I mentioned are just usually what go more with the setting and the vibes that this specific season gives off. Fall is about feeling cozy but stylish and up to date with the current fashion trends. So you just want to make sure you know how to do that.

My third tip is to be mindful of the bottoms you wear in the Fall. Usually, this season is better for dark wash, medium wash, and black jeans. White and light wash jeans don’t always match up with the colors that are in style. Save those jeans for the summer. Distressed jeans add a little bit of excitement to your outfit, but plain jeans are great for fall too! If you’re going to wear leggings in the fall, make sure they’re a thick material and an appropriate color. PLEASE NO BRIGHT COLORED LEGGINGS IN THE FALL. They will bring too much of the wrong attention. If you want to wear leggings that aren’t black, I would recommend a charcoal grey, olive green, or burgundy for colored leggings. These specific colors would be a great substitute for black.

There are many more small details that I could dive into, but I wanted to just give you guys the gist of some of the fashion trends that appear in the fall. You could always add your own personal touch to the outfit, but those were some tips that I felt were very important to help keep you warm but cute in the Fall. Enjoy the rest of this festive season and attempt to do the typical fun activities. Hopefully, you guys can get dressed up and apply these fashion tips to your outfits!
