To this day, I consider Ballerina (known as Leap! in the US) to be one of the most inspirational animated films. The music, setting and visually appealing costume designs drew me in, but above all, its meaning and underlying themes really touched me. In other words, this film teaches not to enable our doubts and fears control our future.

The story follows Felicie, an aspiring professional ballerina, and Victor, an inventor, who escape from their orphanage to chase their dreams in Paris. During her journey, Felicie encounters many obstacles and challenges, which at times makes her doubt herself and give up her dreams. Despite these roadblocks, she perseveres and keeps moving forward.

Throughout the movie, it shows that in order for your dreams to come true you need to work hard at it. No matter where you come from, if you have the passion and the support, anything can happen. I have to say it won’t always be easy; there will be hardships and failures on your path to success, but it will be worth it in the end.

It is important to understand that there will be times in life where we may feel lost and confused about who we are, and what we want to become; we may even feel like giving up. However, as you progress through life, eventually everything will make sense and work out in the best way if you want it to.

It is important to envision your future and work on it so that it becomes your reality. With that being said, I encourage you to watch this movie if you haven’t watched it yet!
