This year Halloween might not be celebrated with haunted house attractions, Halloween parties and even trick or treating around the neighborhood. But no need to worry, you can still celebrate at home, wear a costume, play around with some spooky makeup, grab some candy and get ready for an at home Halloween movie marathon!

Hocus Pocus (1993)

This spook-tacular film is for sure a #1 classic for halloween movies. This movie isn’t so much on the scary side but more on the comedic side of Halloween films. These three comically evil witches will definitely bring on the halloween spirit!

Scream (1996)

I think almost everyone has seen the iconic scream costume every year during Halloween. If there is one movie you must watch it is this one. This film will definitely bring back some classic scares and will definitely have you screaming throughout the night!

Halloween (1978)

If you are a horror film fanatic this one is definitely a popular pick for scary movie nights. Get ready for some intense jump scares from a creepy serial killer. Be careful though, Michael (the serial killer) may be watching you and your loved ones through a window.

Casper (1995)

Who doesn’t love the friendly ghost Casper?  After watching a few heart pounding horror films, take a break with a not so spooky ghost. This film is certainly made for everyone, adults, teens and kids just can’t help but fall in love with this cute Halloween classic.

The Addams Family (1991)

They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re the Addams Family. Another classic film that is perfect for you and your loved ones. Despite the family’s creepy vibe they will certainly give you some good laughs with some spooky humor.

Beetlejuice (1988)

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Ah yes, the iconic line and name of this classic Halloween film. Winona Ryder acts as Lydia Deetz, a teenage girl who moves into a haunted house and runs into Beetlejuice. Despite his chaotic looks Beetlejuice is quite a funny character that even kids can enjoy. However be careful about saying his name three times.

Ghostbusters (1984)

Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters! This classic jingle will definitely bring some nostalgia for people of all ages. Of course, what is Halloween without hunting for ghosts? Join Bill, Dan, Harold and Ernie on their ghostly adventures in this film.

The Shining (1980)

Here’s Johnny! Last but not least, this film will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. From the creepy twins to Jack Nicholson acting as a crazy killer, this will certainly run chills down your spine. Stephen King’s classic novel is a horror masterpiece that everyone should get the chance to watch.

What are you waiting for? Begin your spook-tactular film marathon now, and happy haunts!
