So, maybe you’re like me, someone who had previously convinced themselves that reality TV was not for them. That “trash” TV is too trashy. Slowly, but surely, though (no thanks to my ex boyfriend), this idea started to disappear as my eyes were opened to the glorious invention that is reality TV. Need a complete mind blank, or something to just make you feel a bit better about yourself? Then please go ahead and enjoy any reality TV show, especially ANTM. This is absolutely one of my favorites (especially season 19, and any season that takes place during the early 2000s). And… it is now available on Netflix!
Season 19 is the “college edition”, and the whole production is nothing short of hilarious. The tacky 2000s outfits combined with their social media coordinator “Ryanboy”, makes for the perfect dramatic, comedic production. What they consider “social media” at the time is pretty much exclusively My Space, and fans can write comments about each of the girls (or send in videos), which always gives me a good laugh. The stylist for the shoots is Katy Perry’s stylist at the time, which I just love. I swear, it’s like a time capsule. Go enjoy and give your mind a rest and your body a good laugh!
