Wow your Family This Holiday Season with Gigi Hadid’s Famous Spicy Vodka Pasta

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

The holiday season can be both holly-jolly and horrendous. Between the stress of shopping, party planning, and getting every little thing right, the final month of the year can easily turn into chaos. Are you struggling to think of a way to easily impress your family? Ladies and gentlemen, Gigi Hadid’s Spicy Vodka Pasta recipe is just what you need.

You’ll need:

¼ cup olive oil

1 small clove of garlic, diced

¼ onion, diced

¼ cup tomato paste

½ cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon vodka

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

225 grams of shells pasta

1 tablespoon butter

¼ cup parmesan cheese

Basil, chopped, to serve

Salt and pepper to taste

How You’ll Make It:

Boil your pasta in a pot. Once cooked, save one cup of your pasta water and set it aside before draining the rest out. You’ll use this cup of water later.

Pour olive oil into a pan and add garlic and onions. Allow them to cook until golden before adding the tomato paste and butter. Mix for 60 seconds before adding in the heavy cream. Stir until a sauce consistency forms before adding in the vodka and pasta water. The pasta water will not only help add flavor but helps mix the sauce better. Stir, with the heat setting on low and when the sauce is completely mixed in, add the pasta. Add in the red pepper flakes (or don’t if you prefer no spice), basil, salt, pepper, and parmesan.

And then you’re done! This recipe is made for a single packet of pasta, so make sure to multiply if needed.
