Christmas Albums That’ll Make You Feel Nostalgic About The Holidays

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Washington chapter.

Christmas may be over, but that doesn’t mean we ever have to stop celebrating, right? Well, as we get older, I feel like Christmas slowly loses its magic. I miss the days when I’d wake up at the crack of dawn to open my gifts under the tree or when I’d stay up past midnight, hoping to catch Santa munching on cookies and milk. Listening to the Christmas music I listened to when I was younger brings back memories of Christmases past, so jamming out to holiday bops in December (or any time of year!) makes me feel nostalgic for all of those childhood memories. If you weren’t already, here are a few of my favorite nostalgic Christmas albums that’ll get you in the holiday spirit:

A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi Trio

Growing up, this movie would play in my living room while I opened my presents on Christmas day. Listening to this album brings back memories of holidays spent with family and the pure joy I used to feel on Christmas morning. Plus, the instrumental tracks are perfect as motivational study songs!

Under The Mistletoe by Justin Bieber

I’m pretty sure this will reign as my favorite Christmas album until the day I die. I’m emotionally unable to wait until December to listen to this absolute masterpiece, so I play it year-round. When this album was released in 2011, I seriously fangirled over the “Mistletoe” music video for months.

Disney Channel Holiday by various artists

This album was the heart of my childhood Christmases. It features hits from OG Disney Channel idols Hannah Montana, Aly and AJ, The Cheetah Girls, and more. I’ve listened to this album every year since it was released in 2007, and it never fails to get me excited for the holidays.

The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection by Taylor Swift

A hidden gem among Taylor Swift’s top hits. Short and sweet, this album is the perfect blend of Christmas, country, and nostalgia. If you miss Tayor Swift’s country days as much as I do, you’ll love this one!

Christmas by Michael Bublé

In my book, Christmas doesn’t start until this album plays on repeat. A timeless classic, Christmas by Michael Bublé encapsulates every warm feeling of the holidays. Christmas classics covered by jazz artists never disappoint, and this album is no exception.
