Lingerie Picks (That are Actually Comfortable)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at New School chapter.

With Valentine’s Day nearly upon us, now is a great time to restock on lingerie! I’m all for over the top seasonal underwear, but I don’t want to break the budget on lingerie that looks great yet sits in all the wrong places. In my endeavor to find affordable alternatives to luxury lingerie, (while still staying away from fast-fashion brands like Zaful and Shein) I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are so many lingerie picks that are actually quite comfortable!

  1. Knee Socks: For some reason, knee socks are so sexy! I asked my boyfriend (not that he is an expert in fashion) and he agrees. Wearing knee socks around the house not only shows off your legs but keeps you warm and cozy at the same time!

  2. Contour Bralette: Bras with cutouts are a hit or miss because. . . well. . sometimes you need that bit of support in the middle! This bralette gives you coverage, support, AND edge. The bright red shade is perfect for Valentine’s Day– or any other occasion when you’re feeling a bit spicy!

  3. MANGO Satin Bra: MANGO has super sleek satin bras and bralettes that are still comfy. The satin finish looks and feels so luxurious.

  4. Gooseberry Full on Glam Lingerie Set: Sometimes a bunch of lace is itchy, and at that point is it even worth it? Gooseberry has amazing lingerie sets with lace that won’t itch and won’t fall apart after one try in the washing machine. Definitely recommend this set for those of us who are going all out this Valentine’s Day!

  5. For Love and Lemons Bustier: I’ve been obsessed with bustiers ever since I discovered that some of them can pass as a shirt! Finding one that doesn’t feel like a corset, but still, hugs in all the right places is tricky. This bustier is adjustable and the material isn’t too stiff.
