Over the MANY months of quarantine, there have been many new albums and singles released in the country music industry ー many of which were top hits (and many that weren’t). However, these are my favourite top hits of the 2020-2021 quarantine.

Dangerous: The Double Album – Morgan Wallen

Ok so basically the only reason I included 2021 in this article was to include Morgan Wallen’s album. Just listen to it and you will understand. Morgan is amazing and is one of country music’s biggest artists right now, understandably so. While the whole album is exceptional, my favourite songs on the album include 7 Summers, Sand In My Boots, More Surprised Than Me, and 865. This album is definitely worth checking out, even if you aren’t the biggest fan of country music.

A Rock – Hardy

Now, this is my favourite Hardy song on his album “A Rock,” however the whole album is amazing. Hardy is an amazing singer and songwriter and I encourage you to not only check out this song, but the rest of the songs on his album.

Karma – The Reklaws

I have no words other than it is an amazing song. The Recklaws are a Canadian brother-sister duo with a series of amazing songs. However, this is my favourite from their new album.

Sunday Drive The Album – Brett Eldridge

If I had to listen to only one album for the rest of my life this would be it. That’s all I have to say.

What You See Ain’t Always What You Get – Luke Combs

Another whole album that I absolutely love. I hate concerts but I would go to a Luke Combs concert, that’s how much I love this (and all his other) albums.

2016 – Sam Hunt

There’s a few songs on his album “Southside” that I really love, but this is definitely my favourite.

There are so many other country songs that were released this year, and everyone should definitely go check out Apple’s playlist Today’s Country to stay up to date on all the new country hits!

Just your average criminology major, who enjoys watching Supernatural, The Boys and occasionally catching a hockey game. Probably off somewhere writing a novel!
