We all have people in our lives that we love and cherish. Life gets busy sometimes, and we don’t always remember to make our loved ones feel appreciated throughout the year. I’m going to give you a few tips and tricks to make your loved ones feel special and valued this Valentine’s Day.

We can do more than send an “I love you” text message to our families and friends. A more intimate and meaningful way to express how much we care about our loved ones is by writing a letter. A letter is a more meaningful way to tell our loved one’s how much we appreciate them instead of sending a simple text. That extra small amount of effort is significant to others. Even sending Valentine’s cards can be very meaningful, especially since many people don’t bother to buy cards for holidays anymore.

It’s more than significant others that we need to celebrate this Valentine’s Day. This holiday is about showing those important to you how much you love them. It doesn’t need to be a grand gesture, but an act from the heart can go a long way. Why not do something small to make someone you care about feel special?

Something we can do is make an item for our loved ones. Whether it’s your best friend, parent, or significant other, a gift that you hand-made, spent time on, and added your personal touch to would be a gift that would be cherished for years. You don’t even have to be good at crafts because it’s the effort that counts. There are YouTube tutorials for how to make paintings, knit scarves, make jewelry, and drawings. Gifts mean more when someone knows you took the time to make it personal for them.

No matter who that special someone is that you want to appreciate, a great way to do that is to send them something unexpected and personal. You could have their favorite flowers delivered or send them their favorite food. DoorDash and other delivery methods could be a fun way to surprise someone on this special occasion.

Call, don’t text. Put in that extra effort and give the people in your life a call. Chat with them for a few minutes about your life and ask genuine questions about theirs. It’ll give you a chance to catch up, and they will feel like you care and want to know about their lives.

There are many great ways to show the people important to you that you care about them this Valentine’s Day. Take a moment and do something meaningful for the ones you love to show them how much you genuinely appreciate them.
