Get your calendars ready! Here are some highlights from events happening around FSU and Tallahassee this month.

Multiplayer Monday

  • When: Every first and third Monday at 7:00 p.m.

  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: “Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, we gather up and play a free multiplayer game online! All FSU students are free to attend, just join our Discord Server so you can participate: discord.gg/zayHvKP. If it’s your first time on the server, feel free to introduce yourself as well!”

WSU Women’s History Month Kickoff

  • When: March 1st from 6 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: “Our first event of women’s history month is fast approaching & we can’t wait to see all of you! We’ll be hosting a general body meeting and having lively discussions where we can hear everyone’s voices. Come spend the evening with us & get ready for an eventful, exciting month!”

Yoga in the Gardens

  • When: Every Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Location: Maclay Gardens (3540 Thomasville Rd)
  • Description: Join Yoga Power Tallahassee and Friends of Maclay Gardens for a one-hour Vinyasa Flow Class. Please bring water and your own props (mat, blankets, blocks) and anything else you may need to assist your comfort level.

Clever and Cork: The Food and Wine Festival

  • When: March 6
  • Location: Tallahassee Community College Main Campus (444 Appleyard Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32304)
  • Description: On Saturday, March 6, we invite you to uncork with us on Kleman Plaza for a combination of food, wine and good company. The festival will include local food vendors and wine tastings, as well as feature cooking demonstrations by the one and only Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and other talented local chefs.

Movie Night at Doak

  • When: March 5 and March 12
  • Location: Doak Campbell Stadium
  • Description: The Seminole Experience presents Movie Night at Doak featuring The Goonies on March 5 and Moana on March 12.

MagLab Open House

  • When: Ongoing until March 6

  • Location: Virtual
  • Description: Between Feb. 19 and March 6, the MagLab will host more than 20 free, live virtual events as part of this year’s Open House including a session on Kitchen Chemistry and the first-ever MagLab Escape Room. More or less,

6′ Concert: The Disciples of Music and Friends

  • When: March 6
  • Location: Khufu’s Smokehouse (3030 S Adams St)
  • Description: From a safe distance at an outside venue, please wear a mask and enjoy the music of the Disciples of Music and Friends, as they play jazz, soul, funk, Mardi Gras and brass band music, and more!
  • Adult tickets ($11.50), student tickets ($5.50) and other information can be found on their event site here.

There are of course more events scattered throughout the month including a livestream for Dolly Parton’s 75th birthday and this event to help you improve your memory. While it may seem like it’s been years since we’ve seen each other face-to-face, there are still ways to get involved around the FSU and Tallahassee community.
