This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

The memories are simple.

Between the sheets it was skin to skin.

Running bravely through our sin.

Until you wounded my love with your pistol.

I could have sold my loyalty for free.

A dearest friend I could be true to

Breaking oaths and a bond you cut through

I won’t fight this fight, I let you flee.

A friend to all, is one to lose

The longer the years,

The more the tears.

Twisted lies and false truths

My words aren’t enough to express it.

They will be lost just like my presence.

All because you drew your weapons

But it was all for naught, breathe in and take a hit.

I am a junior at UNT and I am majoring in journalism. I love to write about anything and everything. I’m probably somewhere listening to Taylor Swift while writing about life.
