Now that Halloween is officially over, it is finally time for Christmas, at least for me. Yes, I know you are probably thinking, “We still have Thanksgiving to celebrate.” And honestly, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I just love the food and family aspect of it. But Thanksgiving is the same with the Christmas decorations up. If anything, it adds more positive energy to the occasion.Â
By decorating early, you have so much more time to enjoy it. If you wait until after Thanksgiving, you really only get maybe a little over a month to enjoy it. But if you decorate before, you have so much more time to really enjoy Christmas and the cute decorations that come with it. You know what comes with decorating for Christmas: the music. It is officially time to listen to all of the Christmas music staples religiously. Imagine decorating while listening to Christmas music at the same time; sounds awesome, right?
So far, I have already gone to Hobby Lobby and picked up a few decorations for my dorm room. Coming into my room and seeing little Christmas trees scattered throughout my room just brings my mood up. I think Christmas is truly the best time of the year. Like, how can you not be happy when it is blue skies, snow, and the sun beating down? I will definitely be getting more decorations, including a Christmas tree, very, very soon.Â
I love Christmas, especially the decorating part of it. Decorating the Christmas tree while watching a Christmas movie with my family is one of my favorite traditions. Personally, I don’t think it is too early to start putting up those Christmas decorations. As long as it’s after Halloween, I think it is the perfect time. Being in college, we really need to enjoy the decorations before we leave for break because when we get back, they will probably need to be taken down.Â
Overall, I think Nov. 1 is the perfect time to start decorating. If the queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, says it’s time, then it’s time. Decorating just brings me so much happiness, especially when it is for Christmas. Putting the tree up early by just a couple of weeks it can bring happiness in your life that you didn’t know you needed. So, if it brings you happiness, why wait when Thanksgiving is the same with all of the decorations up?Â
